127

Efke is the last remaining manufacturer for 127 format films. They handmake the little spools with brass nipples and the spooling is done manually by blind people in total darkness. Sometimes efke takes in private label orders thus some of their 127 films are hidden in different boxes such as Maco.

We offer 3 types of 127 films:

  1. B&W Negative 100 ASA
  2. Colour Slide (superslide) 100 ASA
  3. Colour Negative 100 ASA

The colour slide and CN films can be processesed by any professional lab using film hanger transport machines or manually in any Jobo or similar processor

The B&W film fits in our AP Tanks and van bedeveloped just like any other 100 ASA efke film. Here you can find the Developing timetable for efke b/w films.

The film is coded on the back for cameras using the “red window” in order to determine the film position. In order to prevent the film from fogging always close this window with the metal slide or in case this slide is missing using black tape. Wind only in subdued light !

One film can take

  • 12 Exposures 4X4cm
  • or 8 Exposures 4X6,5cm
  • or 16 Exposures 2,5X4cm

620

FOTOIMPEX remanufactures regular factory spooled 120 film to the 620 format using a high precision trimmer. Usually the smaller winding knob will foreward the 120 spool after this trimming. However in case your camera does not transport the film you need to keep your original metal 620 spool as the taking spool. The difference between the original 120 and 620 is that the 620 is smaller and has less diameter on the spool sides. Thus a regaular 120 spool will jamm in a 620 camera.

On this picture you can see the difference (left to right)

  • genuine 620 spool
  • FOTOIMPEX trimmed 620 spool
  • original 120 spool (wider and greater diameter)

Solaris 126 Film 200 ASA

Solaris CN film for regular process C-41

200 ASA type 126 “Instamatic”

With 126 films the film guidings are implemented in the cartridge allowing the cameras to be very simply made and still be able to transport the film. One advantage is that if accidentally dropped or opened only the actual frame is lost as all exposed and unexposed film is still in tha cartridge. However there are also some higher quality Cameras such as Rolleis or Yashicas out using this film. It takes 24 square shaped pictures onto unperforated 35mm film and indicates the frame numbers on the backing paper visible in the cartridges back window.

Solaris 110 Film 200 ASA

Solaris CN film for regular process C-41

200 ASA type 110 “Pocket-Film”

Colour negative Film with very good exposure latitude and fine grain. The 110 Film like the 126 is easy to use and has all film guiding equippment alreday implemented in the cartridge. Thus we can find many strange and unique toy cameras from China using this film format. However some more serious models have been made as well. In Germany we find among those the typical Granny-Snappers made by Agfa with the red sensor exposure button which sort of makes a rattle snake noise when pressed and (suposaly) used auto exposure. Easy to use and eay to fit in your purse and to be found in any larger “Luftkuhrort” during the last two decades. 24 happy snaps per film.
