Note: efke 25 and 50have true 25 or 50 ASA and should
NOT be overexposed in order to get optimal results. With some modern cameras it needs to be UNDEREXPOSED by 1 F-stop. If you do not get good tonalities in the first
try please reduce the development time by at least 30% with with the next film. We recommend with efke roll and sheet films to pre-water the film for at least 1 minute. The given developing times can be
prolonged by 30 seconds in this case.
All developing times are in minutes
Agitation type (Column “Kipp”)
- 1 = 4 times per minute at 15,30,46,60. The first 30 seconds continuous agitation
- 2 = every 3 seconds one cycle
- 3 = shake every 30 seconds for 5 seconds
- 4 = shake every 60 seconds for 10 seconds
Dilution = Column “Verd.”, “Unverd.” means undiluted
If time- intervals are given this means that at the short
time the negative contrast is at abou 0,55 (condenser enlarger) and at the higher time the negative contrast is at 0,7 (difusion chamber).
The rule of thumb for push development is:
- +1 f-stop: basic time x 1,333
- +2 f-stops: basic time times 1,3332
